December Update

We enjoyed our last big planned event for 2013! Twenty-seven ladies and who knows how many children, gathered together to celebrate the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We ate festive homemade tamales and drank hot fruit punch. We celebrated December birthdays and special milestones. One of the ladies brought us a wonderful Christmas message….

Our Valentine’s Day party was filled with food, fun and festivities. We have been studying the power of the spoken word. The ladies drew names last week and this week brought a spoken blessing for the one she had drawn. It was emotional and powerful. We also celebrated Lidia’s 27th birthday, born on Valentine’s Day….

The first of various Christmas Parties this year was for the Señorita Group. They had prepared food, a display of their crafts, songs and a drama for their mothers and grandmothers. The Angels rejoiced as Ines made her profession of faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized during the weekly Bible Study. Flory brought us a meditation on the meaning of communion and we celebrated the April birthdays! Joy abounds!
