Wedding Bells

We have had the joy over the recent years to attend weddings of young adults that either grew up in our Children’s Bible Study or were members of the Boy’s Club we had years ago. It has been a privilege to be a part of their lives, to know them as kids and participate in their milestone moments. In Roxana’s case, we have known her since she was about seven years old. She grew up in the Children’s Bible Study, got a teaching degree, is teaching at a private school and now substitute teaches the same Children’s Bible Study that her younger brothers now attend. When she was 15, she made a pact with the Lord to wait upon Him for her life mate. The Lord brought Eddy into her life at just the right time. He formally asked her hand in marriage with both their families, pastors and ourselves as witnesses. Now 26 years old, Roxana and Eddy had a private civil wedding officiated by the Mayor, where we signed as witnesses. They remained in their homes, however, even though they were officially married. A week later, we were honored to transport Roxana to her church wedding in our car. We also spoke a blessing over them during the ceremony.
