In early September, we hosted a Father-Son day full of fun sports activities including croquet, volleyball, horseshoes, garden bowling and of course, soccer. The fun, laughter and food was followed by a Spiritual message. It was unanimously decided we need to do it more often!
This month found us working in another part of the country with a Credit Union we have worked with since 2008. We had a good meeting with the Character Committee making plans to take the Character Initiative to the next level. This initiative is changing lives, one life at a time!
Four boys and the leader of our Boy’s Club had a fabulous end-of-the-year weekend outing; staying in a classy hotel, bowling, playing billiards and various games, going to the movie theater, enjoying the jacuzzi, going to the zoo and having Biblical devotions together. Both Men’s and the Lady’s and Children’s Bible Studies made plans to bless Art for his birthday. His actual birthday fell on a holiday, so they celebrated the week prior. Lots of cake, special words, song made for fun events. The most meaningful to him were the prayers.
