CHARACTER FIRST-EDUCATION

One facet of the Character First training is for schools. A local private school saw what we do and wanted it for their faculty. They planned a “teacher’s planning retreat day” for the grade school teachers and asked us to be the guest speakers. It was called the “Character Kick-off”.  They had a hand-made sign on the wall that said, “Welcome Staff to the Character First Seminar”. We explained to the faculty what character is and the importance of developing good character and demonstrating it both on and off the job. The teachers broke up into groups and did a workshop. A spokesman from each group then shared the results of their findings. We were well received and look forward to working with this private school the rest of this school year. (school year in Guatemala starts in January and ends in October)  The owners, pictured below, want the very best for their faculty, which will ultimately be passed down to the students.
