Baby Dedication

They were here 9 months before his birth…..and returned 9 months after his birth! Chris & Melissa Kane, the proud parents of this precious child, brought him back to the land where he was conceived to dedicate him to the Lord, Jesus Christ. Accompanied by Chris’ parents, Michael & Judy Kane along with the Lady’s and Men’s Bible Studies here in Guatemala, Caio’s parents and grandparents expressed their gratitude to the Lord for Caio’s existence after 20 years of infertility. Little Caio was conceived on Chris & Melissa’s first trip to Guatemala 18 months prior. The Lady’s Bible Study laid hands on Melissa at that time and prayed fervently for the Lord to open her womb. The incredible testimony of this Baby Dedication filled our garden with the love of the Lord and joy beyond belief. After Chris & Melissa and Caio’s grandparents said their vows to bring Caio up in the ways of the Lord, Chris and Melissa read together, “…as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15) It was an honor for us to host and translate this special event. “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)
