Day of the Child 2018

What a fun day! We annually celebrate the Day of the Child with food, song, games, prayer and this year, with face painting! Several of the 25 adults shared funny childhood stories with the apx. 35 kids. With lots of laughter, races and colorfully painted faces, everyone seemed to have a good time. It was the first time we have used our multi purpose area for an activity. Weather reports said 100% chance of rain in the afternoon. However, the God who controls the weather had other plans! It was a beautiful day. Each child received a gift bag and toothbrush accompanied by warm hugs. “Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
